After migrating wechat-uos-qt to wechat, I’ve noticed that duplicated packages are more and more popping up. Some of which maintainers I’ve contacted privately and gave me no valid points about doing so and straight up talking bullshit. Of which you can check it out at pasteboard and another pasteboard

Recently a mysterious user has justified aur/wechat’s replaces array as “malicious”, ignoring the fact that those are duplicated packages in the first place. Later he called a moderator and forcibly replaced the replaces line with conflicts, without prior confirmation from me the package maintainer. Which is ridiculous when the thread resolving dupers are dead for months and looks like there isn’t any effort resolving the actual root issue. Instead they elect to shut people’s mouth and call it a day. That is how moderation works on AUR I guess.
